New bank structures on the Inn

New bank structures are being created at suitable points in the storage areas of the Schärding-Neuhaus und Passau-Ingling power plants as part of the project LIFE Blue Belt Danube Inn. Gravel banks will provide protected habitat for fish in the Inn. The necessary gravel is excavated from the storage areas and moved elsewhere in the river. This will create a lasting upgrade to the river habitat on the Inn.
